Guest Information


ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Seating:

Halton Arena offers ADA compliant seating in each of the 100-Level sections at the main concourse level.  For some of the events at Halton Arena, some seating sections may be closed due to show production requirements. To inquire about a specific show, please contact Halton Arena's Box Office at 704-687-4949.

Alcohol

Alcohol is prohibited in the Halton Arena and the Barnhardt Student Activity Center, except when served at an event for which the host has a University approved permit. University policy prohibits the sale of alcohol on campus.

Animals

Animals are not permitted in the arena, unless they are service animals assisting a disabled guest.  

Appearance

All guests entering Halton Arena must be appropriately dressed, including shirt and shoes at all times. Any guest wearing obscene or indecent clothing will not be permitted to enter. 

Arena Seating

Halton Arena has two main seating levels: The Lower Bowl, and The Upper Bowl. In addition, depending on the type of event, Floor Seating can be utilized.

Assistive Listening Devices

For those guests who are hearing impaired, the Arena provides Assistive Listening Devices at no cost. Please see a Guest Services member or visit the Guest Services Booth located in the center of the main concourse, on the main concourse, for assistance with obtaining a device. A driver's license will be required to sign a listening device out.

Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)

ATM service is available on the main concourse behind section 116.

Baby Changing Stations

All Men’s, Women’s and Family restrooms are equipped with baby changing stations.

Bags

Backpacks, duffel bags, and other large bags are not allowed in Halton Arena. If you arrive with such an item, you will be requested to return the item to your vehicle. All other bags are subject to search.

Banners & Signs

Banners and signs that promote the event taking place may be displayed with certain limitations. Banners must be of flame retardant material, and must not be more than three (3) feet in height and cannot obstruct the view of other fans or any permanent arena signs. Signs may not be placed on railings or walls. Poles or sticks that are used to display banners, flags or signs are not permitted. Additionally, banners and signs that are offensive, vulgar, or commercial in nature will not be permitted into the Arena.

Backstage Passes

Halton Arena does not issue or have access to backstage passes.

Cameras

Cameras are permitted for Charlotte 49er athletic events; however, in no instance may photography interfere with access ways, seat aisles, or other guests' enjoyment of the event. Flash photography is prohibited at 49er athletic events.  The camera policy for non-UNC Charlotte athletic events will vary. Please call 704-687-4800 in advance to check the policy.

Concessions

Halton Arena offers a wide variety of concession items, offered from the four permanent concession stands and additional concession carts. Debit/Credit cards are accepted at most stands. No outside food or drink is permitted in the arena.

Coolers

No coolers of any kind are permitted in Halton Arena. If accommodations need to be made for medical reasons, please contact us at 704-687-4800 at least 48 hours prior to the event you plan to attend.

Elevators

Public elevators are located on the east end of the concourse.

Firearms/Weapons

No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted in Halton Arena.

First Aid

The First Aid station is located at the north-west end of the arena; however this location may change due to specific production needs of an event. In addition, if first aid is needed, please notify the nearest staff member.

Guest Concerns

Halton Arena is committed to providing proactive immediate response to issues affecting guests. Should a concern arise during an event, please visit the Guest Services Booth in the center of the main concourse, to have your concern addressed or make a nearby staff member aware of the concern.

Guest Conduct

In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, Halton Arena asks that guests be courteous to those around them and abide by Arena policies. Guests who use offensive or abusive language, behave in an unruly manner, or appear to be intoxicated are subject to removal.

Handouts

The distribution of promotional items, handbills, flyers, pamphlets, printed materials, as well as the solicitation of signatures is not permitted on Halton Arena property without the express written consent of the University.

The Halton Arena is located within the James H. Barnhardt Student Activity Center, on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The address for the University is:9

Lost & Found

For any situation regarding lost and found items during an event, please go to the Guest Services Booth located in the center of the main concourse. During non-event times, please contact the Building Manager Office at 704-687-2626.

Lost Parents/Children

Lost parents and children are taken to the Halton Arena Guest Services Booth located in the center of the main concourse.

Parking

Convenient parking is available in the West Deck, the Union Deck, and the Cone Deck. Additional parking spaces are within a 5-7 minute walk of the Arena.  Parking on non-event days is strictly regulated by Parking Services, and is only available by permit or at the guest parking area in the Cone and Union decks.  Please see the parking services website for further information at: http://www.parking.uncc.edu/  

Reentry

Exiting and reentering with the same ticket is not permitted.

Restrooms

Halton Arena has multiple restrooms located in each corner of the arena. All restrooms are accessible for physically disabled guests. For the closest restroom, please see a guest services representative.  

Smoking

Halton Arena is a smoke free facility. An smoking section is available on the outdoor patio located between sections 233 and 201.

Strollers

Guests who would like to check strollers, may do so at the Guest Services Booth located in the center of the main concourse. Please see a Guest Services representative for assistance.

Ticketing

TicketReturn is the official ticking company for Halton Arena.

To purchase tickets in person, guests may visit the Halton Arena Box Office.

Will Call: Tickets may be picked up at the Will Call window of Halton Arena Box Office, located at the east end of the building. Photo identification is required.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are permitted in Halton Arena. For certain events, a guest Services representative may request that you leave your umbrella at the Guest Services Booth as you enter the building.

Water Fountains

Water fountains are located throughout the Arena on the main concourse level at all four corners of the arena.
